What Is Express Entry?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Express Entry is Canada\u2019s online system<\/strong> used to manage immigration applications for three major economic immigration programs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you qualify under at least one, you can create an Express Entry profile<\/strong> and enter the candidate pool. Candidates with the highest scores<\/strong> are invited to apply for permanent residence<\/strong> in regular draws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Eligibility Requirements by Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To be accepted into the Express Entry pool, you must meet the minimum criteria<\/strong> of one of the three programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    You must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Have at least 1 year of continuous skilled work experience<\/strong> (TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3) in the last 10 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Show language proficiency<\/strong> in English or French (tested and proven).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Have secondary or post\u2011secondary education<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Score at least 67\/100 points<\/strong> on the FSWP points grid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Demonstrate funds to support settlement (unless you have a valid Canadian job offer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      2. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Designed for people with Canadian experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • At least 1 year<\/strong> of skilled work experience in Canada in the last 3 years<\/strong> (full\u2011 or part\u2011time equivalent).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Language ability levels depend on your skill type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • No education requirement<\/strong>, though credential assessments help CRS scoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        3. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        For skilled tradespeople:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • 2 years of work experience<\/strong> in a skilled trade within the last 5 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • A valid job offer for at least 1 year<\/strong> or a certificate of qualification<\/strong> from a Canadian authority.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
